[GTA IV] How to Fix the Taxi Bug

Difficulty: Easy

Requirements:
- at least 4GB of RAM and 1GB of VRAM
- an ASI Loader like DSOUND or XLiveless
- NETScriptHook
- TrafficFlow Script Mod

Links:
WARNING: Don't use both ASI Loaders. It will Crash your Game. Just use 1
Xliveless ASI Loader (WARNING*This will remove the Multiplayer Function. I don't recomment to use this one. Use Dsound instead)

DSound ASI Loader (The better Asi Loader. This one will NOT remove the Multiplayer Function so i recomment using THIS)

ScriptHook (No matter what Asi Loader you gonna use. You will need this too

If you have a lots of Car Mods you will notice that the Game stops to load the Cars correctly. You will mostly see just taxis and 1 or two Normal Cars. Thats cost by the High Poly Car Mods. GTA IV will notice that a lot of the Cars are now much bigger and need much more RAM to load. Even if you have enough RAM the game will stop load the Cars. (R* Y U NO PORT RIGHT?) And as a result its just gonna load taxis.

To Fix that you just need to Install a little Script Mod that loads the Cars into the Game no matter if they High Poly or not.

Installation
1) Download DSound (or xliveless) and NETScriptHook
2) Open the ScriptHook Rar and extract everything in it into your GTA 4 Installation Folder (Standard - C:Programm Files\Rockstar Games\GTA IV)
3) Open the DSound (or xliveless) Rar and Extract everything into your GTA 4 Installation Folder (Standard - C:Programm Files\Rockstar Games\GTA IV)
4) If you don't have it already create a Folder Called "scripts" (without ") inside your GTA $ Installation Folder  (Standard - C:Programm Files\Rockstar Games\GTA IV)
*This Script Folder will be where most of your Script Mods will go in
5) Download TrafficFlow and open the Rar.
6) Extract the TrafficFlow.net.dll and the TrafficFlow.ini into your Scripts Folder (the one you just created)

Now the Taxi Bug should be fixed for you.
*Note: Sometimes it needs a minute or two to load the script so don't panik if it dosen't work in the first 30 Sec

[GTA IV] Install Car Mods with OpenIV

Difficulty - Easy
Requirements:
- the Freeware Program called "OpenIV" You can get it here:  http://openiv.com/

Download a Car Mod
You can find several Links to Sites on the Right Sidebox of the Blog. In this Case i just used gtainside.com (if you already have a car just jump to Step 4)

1. On the Left side of the Site click on "Cars"
 2.  On the Next Site you can Choose a Car Brand
 3. In my Case i selceted BMW. Now You'll see a List of all Cars. Just Pick one and Click the Download Button

 4. Once your Download is finished just Open the Rar and extract everything to the Desktop

5. Now Open up OpenIV. Now a little Sceen should show up where you can select 3 Games. Select GTA IV. If you start it the First Time it will ask you about your GTA Path. It should be in C:Programm Files\Rockstar Games\GTA IV.  If you're done and everything is loaded it should look like this. Now just open the "models" Folder

6. Now you'll need to do 2 Things.
1) In order to change files and import stuff you have to set OpenIV into the Edit Mode. To do that simply click on "Edit Mode" on the Top Corner
2) After that open the "vehicles.img". thats where all the Cars,Boots,Trains ect are located.

7. Now you need to Open the Mod Folder you extracted earlier. Most of the Time you will find 3 Files in there. A ReadMe (befor you do anything read that!) and a wtd and wtf file (the name infront of the .wtd/.wtf is the car that the mod will replace. i.e taxi.wtd/taxi.wtf will replace the taxi)

8. Now simply Drag and Drop the wtd and wtf files into OpenIV like you see it on the Pic

9. You can close OpenIV now. The Model as well as the Textures are now in the Game and tecicly you could already play BUT WAIT. In most of the ReadMe's from Car Mods you will find a Handling as well as a Vehicle Line. Whats that you might ask. Well the handling.ide and the vehicle.ide are two text files that tells the game how the car behaves. And in order to have a great driving expirende you should edit them. Don't worry it's really easy. Just open the ReadMe and search for Lines that looks like these:
*Hint: Even if the ReadMe is in a diffrent language (in my Case Russian) you can easaly find the Lines

10: Now Minimize the ReadMe and go to your GTA 4 Installation Folder (standard: C:Programm Files\Rockstar Games\GTA IV and now open common/data and scroll down till you see the handling.ide and the vehicles.ide You can open them with Notepad.

11: Now simply search for the Lines you saw in the Readme and Copy and Paste them into the vehicles.ide and the handling.ide

12: Now just save and Close.

You're done! You can now go into the Game and enjoy your Car Mod
If you have any questions just ask

FAQ

What is a Mod?
Mods or Modifications are Mini AddOns that change or add new Things to a Game. For Example it can change a Car or a Texture or Add a new Map to GTA. There are even Graphic Mods that change the Bloom Effect and what not. (Maybe you heard or read about ICEenhancer. That is such a Mod)!

Where Can i Get those Mods?
You can get Mods from a Lot of GTA Modding Sites such as gtainside.com. You can find a List of Links on the Right Site of the Blog!

What do i need for that?
You'll need the PC Version of a GTA Game!

Does it work on my Xbox or PS3?
No it dosn't You can't Mod a Console Game because with Modding you need to change Game Files and in case of the Console Versions those Game Files are on the Disc. But you can't Change Files on the Disc!

Is it Free? Or does it Cost anything?
No. 99% of all the Mods you'll find are Free. However there are some People that do Mods for Cash or even Thiefs that steal mods from other People and resell them for Cash. In Case you come Across a Mod thats not free... don't buy it! It's mostly a Scam!

Is It hard to install Mods?
Not at all. I know it may looks hard but at the end you don't need to worry about it. For most Mods you don't even need 5 Minutes. Of Course the very first Mod you install will take some time because you need to figure out what is what and where to put the stuff but thats why most mods come with ReadMe's that explain what to do. And even if they don't and you need help just ask here! :D

What kind of Mods are there?
ohh Boy.. a hole bunch :D You can find New Cars,Bikes,Boots,Planes,Trains,New Maps,New Weapons, Sounds for Cars,Weapons and other Things and some Script Mods and a hole lot more!

What if something goes wrong? Is my Game broken after that?
Don't worry! xD If you make Backups of your Files you just need to Delete the Modded Files and Replace them with the Originals. BUT if you forget to make Backups of the Original Files  maybe you'll need to reinstall your Game.

Are there any Rules or Tips?
Always..ALWAYS make Backups. I can't say that enough. for Example if you Install a Car Mod that replaces an Original GTA Car make a Backup of the Original Car so if the Mod dosn't work you can get back to the Original without Reinstalling your hole game. My Advice: Just copy your entire GTA Folder and Paste it into another Folder so you always got a Backup

Hope i didn't forgot something xD F you have another Question just post it

Getting Started

 Whats that all About?
This Block was made by me to help Beginners with Mods. I saw those Questions that where asked Million Times on Youtube and also to me personally. So i decided to create a Blog that helps beginners to understand and Mod.

If you are copletly new to the World of GTA and it's Mods you can get lost very quickly.
Thats why i decided it would be a nice Idea to have a Blog about it. Anyways. So you are new and you don't know anything about Mods right? Maybe you just saw a couple of YouTube Videos with guys having Real Cars and other Graphics and you want to know how you can have that too.

If thats the Case don't go anywhere. This Blog is for You!

Why are you doing this? is it free?
You'll find usefull hints and Tipps about Modding your GTA Game and all of them are completly free! I will work hard to create Tutorials and i'm also planing on making a YouTube Channel about it.

Where to get started?
Well for now i'm working on a FAQ Post to answer some Questions and after that i will start with the Basics. Should be ready about Tomorrow. Feel Free to Bookmark the Blog
